Terms of Service

Last updated: September 17, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PageOn at https://pageon.eu (the "Service"), operated by Eleni Filippi, VAT EL158918275, registered at Kourtaki 0, Argos, Argolida, Greece, Greece ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. What the Service is

PageOn hosts PDF documents you upload and serves them as a permanent link and an embeddable, page-flip-style viewer, with optional password protection, expiry dates, clickable pins, and usage analytics, according to the plan (Free/Pro/ Business) attached to your account. Plan limits and features are described on the Pricing page and may change from time to time; we'll do our best to give notice of any change that reduces what a paid plan includes.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate registration information and are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You may delete your account at any time from your Profile page — this permanently removes your account and all your documents (see the Privacy Policy for what's kept regardless, and for how long).

3. Plans, billing, and cancellation

  • Paid plans (Pro/Business) are billed monthly or annually, in advance, through our payment processor Viva Wallet. There is no automatic renewal or recurring charge — each payment covers one billing cycle only, and the plan lapses back to Free once it expires unless you pay again.
  • We send reminder emails before a paid plan expires (10, 3, and 1 day out) and show an in-app notice in the same window, but renewing is always something you actively do — we never charge your card without you completing a new checkout.
  • Upgrading from Pro to Business mid-cycle is charged only the prorated difference for the remaining time on your current cycle by default; switching to an annual cycle, or upgrading within the final days before your plan expires, is charged and dated differently — the exact price is always shown before you confirm a payment on the Billing page.
  • All charges are in EUR and include applicable VAT where required. Receipts (or VAT invoices, if you've provided the required details) are issued manually and sent by email with the plan's payment history as a permanent record.
  • Downgrading or cancelling simply means not renewing when the current cycle ends — there's no cancellation fee, and no partial refund for time already paid for, except as required by applicable consumer-protection law.
  • As a distance/online contract, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal under EU/Greek consumer law for a limited period after purchase; this may not apply once you've started actively using the paid features you purchased, to the extent permitted by that law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to upload, store, or share content that:

  • is illegal, or infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights;
  • is used for phishing, malware distribution, or any other attempt to deceive or harm visitors;
  • violates someone else's privacy or personal-data rights (see §7 of the Privacy Policy — you're responsible for having a lawful basis to share any personal data a document contains);
  • is defamatory, harassing, or otherwise unlawful under Greek or EU law.

We reserve the right to remove any document or suspend any account that violates this section, with or without prior notice, particularly where required to respond to a valid legal request or credible abuse report.

5. Your content

You retain all ownership rights to the documents you upload. By uploading a document, you grant us the limited right to store, process (compress, rasterize, extract text from), and serve it strictly as needed to operate the Service and provide the features you've configured for it (viewer, download, search, analytics) — we don't claim ownership of your content, and we don't use it for anything beyond running the Service for you.

6. Public documents and abuse reports

A document you mark public is accessible to anyone with its link, and is listed on your public profile page — it is not indexed for public search or otherwise discoverable beyond that unless you share the link yourself. If you believe a document hosted on PageOn infringes your rights or violates §4, email hello@pageon.eu with the link and a description of the issue — we investigate and act on credible reports without undue delay.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service reliably available but don't guarantee uninterrupted access — maintenance, third-party outages (including our hosting or payment processor), or circumstances outside our control can affect availability. We are not liable for losses arising from downtime, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Greek and EU law, PageOn is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory consumer-protection law, including liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that materially violates these Terms (in particular §4), after reasonable notice where practical, or immediately where required to prevent harm or respond to a valid legal obligation.

10. Our branding

The PageOn name, logo, and the small "PageOn" badge shown on documents that don't have it removed by their plan are our trademarks and may not be used, copied, or removed except as the Service itself provides for (e.g. plans that include badge removal).

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Greek law. Any dispute arising from them falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Argos, Greece, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that entitle you to bring proceedings in your own country of residence within the EU.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. The date at the top shows the last revision; material changes will be communicated by email or a notice on the Service before they take effect.

13. Contact
